Chasm Falls is a 25-foot waterfall cascading down Fall River within Rocky Mountain National Park. A beautiful scenic hike up Old Fall River Road with dramatic rock formations and high peak views.
OLD FALL RIVER ROAD
Adding the extra mile to reach Old Fall River Road was a pleasant walk in the early morning hours. Old Fall River Road was gated also which made for a car-free experience!

My favorite outerwear for keeping warm, which I carry in my pack even in summer is > Patagonia Nano Puff Vest. Stuffs easily & in Colorado’s high country is a necessity.
CHASM FALLS
Love how the park has these areas of wilderness beauty.
Cascading water gets louder and louder as we approach the falls. Hard to capture in photos but it was more spectacular than I expected. Spring runoff in its glory!
Nice early morning or ending of your day hike. You can drive here when Old Fall River Road is open if you prefer. Check the Rocky Mountain NP website for road openings. Note: minimal parking at the waterfall.
