Nothing boring or lacking in this hike, a workout, amazing history, the smell of pines, and quiet with only the sounds of small critters and birdsong.
The unusual large round “something” without signage appeared on our hike and pondering that for a while we came to no conclusion of what it is …

As you keep going around the loop a restored original boarding house brings lots of imaging about how it really was to be a miner in Breckenridge during the 1800s. Always love to see old buildings, cabins, and remnants of the past.
A great adventure if you are wanting a moderate, short, yet interesting hike with fresh air. Great for kids, getting the dog out, entertaining the relatives, and surrounding yourself with nature.
