Rita, the Rock Planter, our second giant wood troll in Colorado by renowned artist > Thomas Dambo of Denmark. Meet her in Victor, CO, atop Grouse Mountain overlook, surrounded by old mining relics and gorgeous panoramic views.
The trail is a short rocky stroll from the parking area to find Rita or take the 1.9-mile loop on Little Grouse Mountain Trail for a more adventurous hike.
Rita, the Rock Planter, is made from 100% recycled wood and is remarkable in her size and artistic qualities.
Rita is above 10,000′ elevation: Stay hydrated at high elevations
My two favorite hydration packs for short hiking or tourist trips
Rita is filling the holes left my miners from long ago giving an emphasis on bringing back the land to its natural state.
The views atop Grouse Mountain reach across the Continental Divide Ranges, down into historic Cripple Creek, and are an added treat to visiting Rita, the Rock Planter.
